ZipWP has a free plan that we have used for this video. To use ZipWP, you first have to create an account. The free plan gives some basic features which will help create some temporary WordPress sites. The temporary sites expire in 24 hours. To build permanent sites, you have to upgrade to the paid ZipWP plan. But for this video, we just wanted to explore the different features that this platform provides. So we used the free plan and created a WordPress website.

ZipWP also has a cool feature where a WordPress website will be created for you within a few seconds. To use this, simply visit try.new on your browser. Using this feature, you can quickly test different themes and plugins.

There’s one more thing that we need to discuss. If you build any site on ZipWP, these sites are hosted on ZipWP’s server. Again, if you’re building a temporary site, it will expire after a certain period of time. So, to get this site on your own server accessible via a custom domain name, you need to move this site to your live server. Also, you need to attach your domain to it. Then people can access your production site.

To move a temporary ZipWP site to your own server, you have to access that site from your ZipWP dashboard. Then you have to backup the site’s file in a zip folder. You can do it using the WPvivid plugin. Then you need to install a fresh copy of WordPress on your own server. If you already have WordPress installed on the new server, then there’s no need to install it again. Then access your live WordPress site’s admin dashboard, install the WPvivid plugin, and restore that backup file to successfully move your site from ZipWP’s server to your own hosting.
