After playing Turok 1, Turok 2 and now Turok Evolution for the second time, I still think that Evolution is the best of the three games. It's definitely more linear than the other two games, but after Turok 2 that's not a bad thing. what I really think makes this game better than the other two is the fact that it actually has the proper context to make the objectives seem like they matter. In Turok 1 & 2, all you really do is go from place to place pressing buttons, picking up objects or killing things with little explanation(or absolutely none in Turok 1). But for Evolution, the objectives were actually driving the story. Along with there being more objectives than just "find key". (like killing the ten snipers in chapter 8 or releasing the tethers in chapter 10) So overall, Evolution remains the most entertaining Turok game I've at this point and despite all the technical problems, it was very fun to play again. Shame the sequel never got made.
