This video demonstrates a 1980 Japanese Greco LP Custom guitar through a Peavey artist series 120 watt combo amplifier with an Ibanez SD9 sonic distortion pedal.
Greco guitars have been made in Japan since the 1960's, in the 1970's they made very high quality replica's of famous USA brands. Late 70's and early 80's Greco guitars are now becoming very sought after because of the quality of the materials and workmanship that went in to making them so good. Greco stopped making Fender replicas in the early 1980's when the factory where they were made started to make guitars for Fender Japan, they continued to make Gibson replicas although many were not for export and were for the Japanese market only. These not-for-export models are the ones we at The Little guitar Shop track down.
