Blue Ice releases the new Mission Light 8mm tubular webbing slings in 3 sizes: 60cm, 120cm and 180cm. The biggest advantage of tubular webbing over more typical tape webbing used in sling construction is the increased durability. With tape webbing, the Achilles heel of the sling is the possibility of getting small cuts in the edges. And once even a small nick occurs on the edge of tape webbing sling, the strength of that sling becomes significantly compromised. Tubular webbing does not suffer from the same effect because there are effectively no edges to get cut. These could be our new go-to slings for alpine draws!
