In today's clip, Chris and Christian dive into the best way to help customers make decisions about the work they need done to their car using the preauthorization process. Chris explains that the best way to help a customer through the service experience is to explain the most likely scenario about necessary repairs and allow the customer the opportunity to share more. Oftentimes, customers have preconceived intentions when bringing their car in for work and the best way to figure this out is the preauthorization process versus charging for diagnosis. Chris makes the claim that by approaching the customer with a charge for diagnosis on their car wastes technician time, service advisor time, and the customer’s time. Using the proper preauthorization process, we can save time and money, and help build better relationships.
