Quick tour round Rumtek Monastery in the mountains of the Sikkim area of the Indian Himalayas (Full blog here [ Ссылка ]). Rumtek is a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery (Dharmachakra Centre) where monks live, pray and teach. The compound is controversial with Tibetan's in India and gun toting security at the front is certainly unique. Outside the monastery we spin prayer wheels. Inside the monastery we find monks playing games, hitting gongs and climbing roofs before disappearing for to eat. This is the most famous Tibetan Buddhist Monastery in Sikkim.
