Fillers are procedures to reduce the sunkenness of any body part. For example if it is the cheeks it is done to reduce the sunkenness, it is done below the eyes whenever there is lot of hollowness too lift the skin so that it does not look so hollow. It is also done sometimes for the ear crease. Especially women with age so it creases. So when they wear the ear studs, it just bends down. So in these situations we do filer. Those fillers are used to give volume to the body parts. It is also commonly done for the neck when people have neck lines or on the hands when there is lot of wrinkling. As such filler treatment is a fantastic procedures for these indications. There are various type of filler. So the most popular and the safest thing is hyaluronic acid based fillers. Why it is safe is hyaluronic acid is a protein that is already there in the skin. So naturally it is innate to your skin. So these native molecules they don’t give any allergy reactions. So that is why we prefer hyaluronic acid based fillers. Depending upon the thickness of the molecule, the density, the particle size, filler stays for various duration. Usually when we do fillers for superficial wrinkles, or very superficially in the skin, then these fillers stay for lesser duration. The more robust ones that help to give more contour to the skin are the face, or which lift the skin these stay for a longer duration, say 1 to 22 years. Fillers are also area specific. There are moments where the fillers tend to go faster, for example, someone does a lip, they want to increase the lip outline, the want to improve the pout or the volume when w e do lip fillers the fillers tend to go away faster. Whereas when we have put filler to the tear trough area, there it tends to stay for a longer duration. It depends on the molecule, the movement and the biochemical features that are present on the skin. So in general fillers are very safe, but the duration depends on the molecule that we chose and the area we have to put. We can’t use a thick filler a fine area, we can’t use a fine filler in a deep area, because it does not last long or does not give the desired effect.
