Trains running five to even twenty minutes late in Stamford Friday morning -- not so welcomed by commuters after last night's power issue.
"It's very bad," said Dan Chaika after hearing about the incident.
At 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Metro North service was shut down because of a computer power loss problem. It suspended service on the Harlem, Hudson and New Haven lines. Many were stranded in Grand Central Terminal and posting pictures like this on social media.
One woman, who didn't want to appear on camera, says she's frustrated. Last night her 5:48 train was late, just before the Metro North power problem occurred.
"It's bad because they just did a price hike. So it's like we're paying more money to get less service," she said.
The frigid temperatures, also not helping the situation.
"It just makes it that much harder. Especially when it's cold," she said.
Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy says he's outraged by the incident and expressed his frustration over the phone this morning with MTA's CEO. The governor says he's requested to meet with him and Metro North's incoming president.
Today, Metro North issued an apology for the two-hour service disruption. Metro North says the cause was "human error during an electrical repair project"
As of this morning, Metro North says the delays were caused by weather related issues.
