Puerto Rio Tranquilo, a must visit town on the shores of Lake General Carrera, is a Patagonia adventure haven. Full of excursions for all types of outdoor enthusiasts, this is a must visit town, and one of the most scenic spots in Chile. We were blessed with 24 hours in this peaceful town, with two unforgettable experiences.

The Marble Caves of Chile, Cuevas de Mármol, are an icon in Aysen, Chile. We took a speed boat to see the Marble caves, and were thrilled with the ride and experience. It was so good in fact, we did not feel like kayaking the marble caves at sunrise.
Instead, we were blessed to meet Journey Of Life, and book a 4 hour horseback riding experience, a hidden gem in Puerto Rio Tranquilo. As it turns out, this horse journey through the Andes turned out to be our favorite experience in our entire Chile trip.
