The time has come for internal combustion engine automobiles to give way to their electric counterparts.
And we probably all agree that electric vehicles are the wave of the future. However, electric cars are still way too far from being accessible to those whose primary concern is cost.
But now, that is about to change.
Every electric vehicle's price tag is related to the expense of its battery. But Tesla just announced that it's now developing the world's most affordable battery, which will shake up the EV market. Do you want to know more about this? Then stick with me till the end because I am going to talk about how Tesla will revolutionize the EV industry with their low-cost EV battery!

There is a lot of enthusiasm for new companies making batteries for electric vehicles and for large investments in this sector. This is because businesses, packers, and researchers are all on the lookout for the jackpot.
However, the industry's undisputed ruler is the creative thinker who never stops thinking beyond the box.
And these days, everyone knows one name when talking about technological breakthroughs. And yes, that is Tesla.
Everyone knows that Tesla is miles ahead of the competition for electric cars. Why wouldn't it be? The CEO is a multi billionaire who has perfected the art of sustaining his company's monopoly.
Basically, EVs are changing the face of vehicular transportation forever.
In the last five years, the global market for electric vehicles has increased by 43% per year. And the percentage of electric vehicles in the global car market was 2.6% in 2019.
In the next ten years, this field is predicted to grow exponentially. That's why Tesla's bringing its cheapest battery option to the table.
Now, researching batteries requires a lot of trial and error. The battery industry is ripe for innovation, and a slight change in the composition and efficiency of the most popular components could have a significant impact.
However, setting aside all other concerns, we kept coming back to the high cost of batteries.
Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO and founder, started the firm to hasten the arrival of eco-friendly vehicles. And he intends to accomplish this by rapidly introducing enticing mass-market electric cars.
Musk has stated that we must produce cheaper vehicles. The fact that we do not yet have a car that is within everyone's price range is one of the things that concerns me the most. That's something we plan to create down the line.
The Model 3 was released by Tesla for this very reason. Still, the Model 3 car costs anything from $39,990 to $56,990 because of its batteries' added cost.
In an effort to find a solution to this problem, the manufacturer of electric cars has contributed $3.1 million to the cause of advancing battery technology.
The sponsored research intends to create batteries with improved affordability, energy density, lifespan, safety, and sustainability by using new and existing technologies.
The team's main area of interest is energy storage and electric car batteries.
And yes, Tesla has begun investing in China to make it a center for R&D and production in the near future.
Musk even announced the expansion of the company's investment and localization efforts at the September 26 opening ceremony of the World Internet Conference 2021.
Since then, experts have tried to find ways to make batteries last longer, perform better, and cost less.
So, what were the findings of that research?
Trusting these people with the funds and the task was safe.
Jeff Dahn, one of the researchers, is widely recognized as a forefather in the field for his role in creating the first sodium-ion battery.
In addition, this sodium battery might be a game-changer in bringing Tesla's electric vehicles to a wider audience.
You see, Tesla relies heavily on batteries from the Chinese company Contemporary Amprex Technology Corporation, Ltd., or CATL. And one year from now, CATL promised to have a production line up and running for sodium-ion batteries.
CATL's assistant chairman, Meng Xiangfeng, discussed the company's ambitions at a recent carbon neutrality-focused industrial conference in China.
He stated that sodium-ion batteries are not a new concept, but that research is still being conducted.
