#Dutch football legend Patrick Kluivert has officially been named the head coach of the Indonesia national football team, replacing Shin Tae-yong. The announcement was confirmed by renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, who reported that Kluivert has signed a two-year contract with the Indonesian Football Association.
Kluivert, a former striker for clubs like Ajax, AC Milan, and Barcelona, as well as a standout for the Netherlands national team, brings a wealth of experience to the role. He has previously served as an assistant coach for the Netherlands and Paris Saint-Germain and had managerial stints with Curacao and youth teams at Barcelona.
PSSI Chairperson Erick Thohir expressed confidence in Kluivert's ability to elevate the Garuda squad to greater heights.
Kluivert succeeds Shin Tae-yong, who led Indonesia through significant progress in recent years, including a runner-up finish at the 2020 AFF Suzuki Cup and qualifying for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
