Just a quick video showing how I changed a broken spindle on a 2008 Ford Ranger. I couldn't find the exact same replacement lift spindles locally and even after I realized that these steering knuckle / spindles were serviceable, I still couldn't find just the spindle replacements. I just found a lifted Ranger at a Junkyard and it happened to have the same height kit, even though it was a different brand of lift spindles.
I did end up replacing the other side as well so they would match. It's a good thing that I did, because the lower ball joint nut was just as loose as the driver's side and the outside bearing was also showing signs of heat and premature wear. I think the spindle nut was overtightened which is what caused the outside bearing to heat up and eventually weld itself to the spindle before it broke.
Thanks for watching!
