The Kenya Revenue Authority - KRA has recorded a 9 billion shilling revenue shortfall for the financial year ended 30th June this year. KRA registered a deficit in collection despite revising its revenue target to 716 billion shillings from the 733.4 billion shillings target set in last year's budget. During the fiscal year July 2011/June 2012, KRA collected a total of 707 billion shillings in tax revenues.
