Adolf Hitler (1889–1945) was the leader of Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945, and is widely considered one of history's most notorious figures. His policies led to World War II and the Holocaust, which resulted in the deaths of millions of people.
Hitler was born in Austria and moved to Germany in the early 20th century. He joined the German Workers' Party in 1919, later renamed the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP), or the Nazi Party. He became its leader and eventually Chancellor of Germany in 1933. In 1934, after the death of President Paul von Hindenburg, Hitler consolidated power and became the Führer ("Leader") of Nazi Germany.
Genghis Khan (c. 1162–1227) was the founder of the Mongol Empire, which became the largest contiguous empire in world history after his death. Born as Temüjin in the Mongolian steppes, he united the diverse and often warring tribes of the region and launched a series of military campaigns that expanded his empire across much of Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.
