New research by JustSpeak shows that police are almost two times as likely to send Māori who have no police record or contact with the justice system to court than they are Pākehā. To put that another way, what this research shows is that members of the police force are more likely to act favourably toward Pākehā than they are Māori. This again backs up what Māori have been saying for a very long time — the justice system is fundamentally racist. You can read the research in full here ➡️bit.ly/3a6oNuA
