About half-way along the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail (scenic drive), we stopped at the Trillium Gap trail head (stop #5) to hike to Grotto Falls. It's a very well maintained trail up to the Grotto Falls and narrows down past Grotto Falls if you continue on to the peak of Mt. Le Conte. Undoubtedly, this is one of the busiest hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park due to relative ease of hiking. Nevertheless, I think it's defintely worth the view of the falls and Roaring Fork river.
