The Digital Nomad Visa is a project launched by Jan de Jong in Croatia to allow freelance workers to stay up to a year in Croatia and work remotely for foreign companies. It allows virtual assistants to stay in Croatia and explore its tourism benefits while still working for international companies.

Croatia is opening up to international business and is leveraging its great tourism offerings for people who want to stay for a longer period of time. That opens up the ability for digital nomads to come to Croatia and work from there and be able to explore and work from a beach if they decide to choose so.
