El barrio más conflictivo de Málaga
"Todo el mundo lo conoce, nadie ha ido"
I put myself in danger and walked there, visited typical buildings and looked inside, including a bar at the end 🙈
This neighborhood is one of the most economically depressed in Spain, it presents a notable urban deterioration and serious problems of social exclusion persist, for which it is considered a "marginal neighborhood" and is known as the most conflictive neighborhood in Malaga.
The neighborhood was built in the 1960s, and was populated by residents from El Perchel, La Trinidad, El Bulto and other shanty towns in the center.
The inclusion and coexistence interventions necessary for a good neighborhood and citizen climate were not carried out. This generated unstructured behaviors such as violence, conflicts and the sale of drugs, among others.
Some 2,000 people live in this area of the city in a situation of severe poverty; that is, they have less than 160 euros per month to support themselves
Some fictional series, such as Malaka, have led to the construction of a stereotype of the neighborhood within Spanish popular culture.
