This video features 5 different lowerings filmed during an hour at this automatic half barrier level crossing located on a quiet road at the edge of the village of Gomshall in the Surrey Hills. For such a quiet location, both of the alarms here are very loud, and both of these are fairly new. Whilst both of these alarms appear very loud in this quiet location, they're actually comparatively quiet compared to the noise levels from previous alarm pairings here (I.e. the two 'Yodalarm YO5' alarms). This level crossing also still has twin-arm Mk1 half barriers as of the time of making this video, and these are a very early example of barrier design. The pillars onto which the barriers and their driving motors are fitted are made of concrete, and both of the alarms silence when these barriers are down as the alarm mechanism is fairly old. Some of the wigwags here are also a little mossy due to the trees and shrubbery that surround this level crossing.
Thanks for watching!
