Here's some information about chest in Genshin Impact :

4 types of chests exist in Genshin Impact: Common, Exquisite, Precious, and Luxurious.

Chests have been observed to gradually spawn in as the Traveler progresses, but it is currently unknown whether they independently respawn or not. Genshin Support seem to have simply said that chests do not respawn

Precious Chest
Reward: 5 Primogem, 30 Adventure Rank EXP, 4~10 Sigils, Mora Mora, and a random assortment of Weapons, Artifacts, and Character EXP Material.

Can be found in very well hidden spots throughout the world.
Spawned upon solving certain puzzles.
Spawned upon completing certain Combat Challenges.
Spawned upon completing certain World Quests.
Spawned upon completing the 3rd run of NPC time trials.
