A Sky Original docu-series 'Shark with Steve Backshall' launches on Sky Nature, 7 November.

Some of the most dramatic scenes in the series were filmed in the island nation of The Maldives in the Indian Ocean. In this exclusive clip, Steve unpacks how becoming a sanctuary and enforcing strict controls on fishing helped the Maldives become one of the best places in the world for sharks. By bringing in vital money through tourism, underlining how it is possible for a fishing nation to co-exist with sharks.
