Jeju island is most famous for its seafood such as kalchi 갈치 🐟, juicy tangerines 귤🍊 and black pig 흑돼지 🐖, but I was equally amazed at one of the most famous Korean dishes bibimbap 비빔밥 I had at Dong Do Won 동도원 in Seogwipo.
BIBIMBAP 비빔밥 🥗🍚 - means 'mixed rice bowl', and this restaurant used the freshest namul 나물 'sauteed/seasoned vegetables' to make this simple dish into a michelin star meal ⭐️.
I judge a bibimbap's quality on the vegetables used and if it's lacking spinach or beansprouts, then it isn't traditional or authentic for me. This restaurant added gosari 고사리 bracken fern which added so much more flavour too!
