The USS Langley sailed from Fremantle to The Dutch East Indies during WW11. On board were 32 P-40 Kittyhawks (Warhawks) to be used to stop the advance of the Japanese. The ship was seen, bombed and sunk. The survivors picked up by the USS Pecos which later also was bombed and sunk with huge loss of life. Brian Hernan tells the story.
