The Red Bull Air Race World Championship kicked off in Texas with twelve of the world’s best race pilots battling it out in the skies. Pilots must navigate a low-level aerial track made up of air-filled pylons 80 feet high at speeds of up to 230 mph and felt more than 9 times the force of gravity. Nicholas Ivanoff won the sixth round of the motorsport competition that combines speed, precision and skill. Report by Sarah Kerr.
