Hundreds of thousands of devotees gathered at #India's eastern holy town of Puri to celebrate the annual Chariot Festival at a famous #Hindu temple on Tuesday.
Devotees from across the globe were seen soaked in festivities as they witnessed the pulling of chariots of Hindu Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra.
A glimpse of Lord Jagannath on the chariot is considered to be very auspicious and saints, poets and scriptures have repeatedly glorified the sanctity of the festival. (Reuters) #news #voanews
