When we were in Goa we had to catch our train from thivim railway station, our train was very early in the morning.

We decided to stay at the railway station the previous night so that we don't have to worry about transportation in the morning and we were also worried about missing our train.
We booked the IRCTC Retiring Room for 9 hrs, it was 900rs for 1 room.

You can book the Retiring Room only if you have a train ticket, you need to use the PNR number to book the room online.
There are only 5 rooms in thivim station so you need to book it in advance or else you won't be able to get it.

It was not cheap but it was very convenient since our hotel was very far from railway station and it was not possible to reach railway station very early in the morning.
These Retiring rooms are just on the basement of platform no. 1 of thivim station so you can just go up and enquire about the train whenever you want.

The room had an AC, TV, Comfortable bed and hot water was there in the shower.In short it had all the basic amenities.
