Despite recent growth, there is a lack of structural transformation in Mozambique. Individuals are not moving from low-productivity to high-productivity jobs. This difficult situation is further aggravated by the rising population, as it is estimated that 300 000 new jobs need to be created each year.
Sam Jones of the University of Copenhagen looks at challenges of the jobs market in Mozambique.
