STORYLINE:
German President Joachim Gauck on Tuesday visited Lagos' Freedom Park, where he was greeted by a performance from cultural dancers.
Gauck, who was accompanied by Nigerian Noble Prize for literature winner Wole Soyinka, is currently on a four-day official visit to Nigeria.
The German Presidency website says he will hold talks in Abuja on fighting global extremism, as well as how to manage flows of migrants and refugees.
On Friday, he will depart for Mali for more official talks, before returning to Germany.
