The Hands On Manila Foundation is committed to creating a community where the spirit of volunteerism prevails and makes a difference. They aim to provide flexible volunteer opportunities for community service in Metro Manila and nearby provinces, and to recruit, coordinate and educate a broad base of volunteers for non-profit organizations.They presented the Sherpa Development Programme for "The Pitch", during the 21st IAVE World Volunteer Conference in Singapore.

The Pitch was created by NVPC as an engaging way for non-profit organisations to present strategic, innovative and well-organised ideas to corporate donors. The Pitch is sponsored and championed by global financial firm UBS. This year's theme was "Volunteering to Change the World". NVPC received 44 entries from 28 different countries, which were then short-listed to the 5 finalists who presented at the World Volunteer Conference.
