With most of the rivers not open until the 01 April, I decided to take up the long overdue invite to go and fish the River Taff. My host for the day was Terry Bromwell he has been fishing the rivers of South Wales since he was 5 or 6 worming and catching some superb trout. His family are big into fishing and shooting so he was always outside doing something or other, whatever the weather. The past few years he have been representing Wales in the river internationals where he has competed against the home nations. in 2013 he won his first Brown Bowl and Wales won gold. In 2014 he was the proud captain of a Gold Winning Welsh team.
It's safe to say I could not have been in better hands. Having met Terry at the International Grayling Festival several years back we have remained firm friends. The day looked incredibly promising surely I would get my season of the mark?
How did your opening day go, has it even happened yet? Let me know in the comments section below.
