"Back in the day" I initially went to Johnson Publishing Company and presented myself as an artist/performer and suggested that the do a "story" about a "unique talent" as myself. After all, there weren't many "Brothas" doing my kind of art anywhere in America!
They agreed. Thus they came to a live performance at one of the schools that I was performing and afterwards went to my 4,000 sq. ft. loft to complete the interview.
Most importantly, it gave me the opportunity to go "national" with my "What Is Cool" rap-song and gave me the kind of "exposure" which catapulted me into the "national spotlight"! Something that I will always appreciate and remember! Many THANKS to Debra Krable! ':O)
