Turkey and Iraq launched a joint military drill in northern Iraq after an independence referendum held by Kurdish authorities on Monday. Turkeys' President Tayyip Erdogan denounced the referendum. Ankara feared the vote could fuel Kurdish separatism within Turkey and lead to fresh conflict.
