The Orphan Sponsorship Program was set up in 1993 to meet the needs of families and children in Armenia and Artsakh who have lost one or both parents, the Orphan Sponsorship Program has since sponsored more than 2000 children across Armenia's urban and rural areas. This was accomplished through the generous support of donors from across the USA.

An annual contribution of $225 USD per child is collected and fully transferred to Armenia through the St. Nerses the Great Charitable Fund (the charitable agency of the Prelacy).
