Countries play an important role in handling and managing issues concerning climate change. On the occasion of Indonesia’s G20 presidency, FPCI calls on Indonesia to be a driver for climate solutions and prove to the world that we are at the forefront of climate diplomacy. Indonesia has to be able to lead by example and proof that we can take climate action through concrete commitments by announcing a new and updated 2030 emissions reduction target that is ambitious and aligned with the Paris Agreement. Only by doing so will Indonesia’s presidency at the G20 be remembered as a significant occasion in history.
