The city of Milwaukee is divided by the Milwaukee River, along which boats, kayaks, rowing teams, dinner cruises and more all sail through. Several streets have bridges crossing the Milwaukee River in which the entire section of bridge raises and lowers up and down, unlike a drawbridge which opens from the middle.
The River Walk is a lovely walking path along the Milwaukee River in the middle of bustling downtown that is not only good for exercise, but is also very beautiful. It is a must-see for anyone new to the area.
