I have fond memories of performing this concert at Ragi Kana in Bangalore a few years ago. Unlike commercial markets, Ragi Kana is a cultural hub, a call to return to the roots that sustained us for ages. Village life was all about ecologically holistic living and Ragi Kana is an attempt by like-minded citizens who came together to set up Ragi Kana, a Sunday Santhe. Definitely add it to your list of places to check out once the pandemic situation changes.

In this particular krithi - Manasa Etulorthune, the composer Thyagaraja asks his heart to listen to him and to only spend the day praying to Lord Rama. It is more of a Soliloquy where he separates Thyagaraja from his own heart and tries to control his heart to follow his suggestions to redeem oneself in this Kali Yuga.
