"O la, o che bon echo!" by Orlando di Lasso (also known as Orlandus Lassus, Roland De Lassus), c. 1531-1594. This piece is a canon for antiphonal choirs. The text depicts a person arguing with his or her echo, or pretending to do so. Musically, the echo effect is produced by having the second choir sing more softly than the first. I have rendered this track with electric piano samples and have attempted to augment the echo effect with stereo panning and different amounts of reverberation for the two groups of voices.
