Red gooseberry jam is a great way of enjoying a bumper crop of gooseberries, and if you have friends and family that find gooseberries a little sharp to taste, turning gooseberries into jam may change their minds. The sharpness disappears completely, and the taste is deliciously sweet, not dissimilar in my view to strawberry jam.
