The wake forming flows have been studied with a variety of techniques. However, if finite sized particles flow over bluff bodies the interaction of the particles and wake is still unclear. This situation happens in a micro or milli-fluidic set up. In a series of experiments and simulations in our group, we showed that a clean wake form behind the bluff body and there is no particle in the wake.
