With the F90-generation M5 CS on the horizon, we take a look at the M5 Competition to see whether it's really worth its £102,000 price tag.
The F90 first appeared back in 2017 but was updated at the tail end of 2020 to help it stay in the fight against the Mercedes-AMG E63 S and Audi RS6 Avant. It's 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine produces 616bhp, which is sent to all-four wheels. It'll demolish a 0-62mph sprint in a face-melting 3.3 seconds. The only problem is it costs £35,000 more than the M550i, which also comes with a V8 and does the 0-62mph dash in 3.8 seconds. So is the M5 really worth the premium?
