Apoorva BV has been beekeeping for the past 13 years. It started as a hobby, which then turned into a passion, and then a profession. Apoorva is working with farmers and women’s Self Help Groups to maintain bee colonies and enable bee pollination, which is an important part of the food production process. He is a tireless campaigner for the rights of bees, and works to change the perception that they are pests. It is Apoorva’s firm belief that every living being has a right to life. And bees, who have been on the Earth for over 50 million years and who are vital to the preservation of biodiversity, deserve to be treated better.
