It is equipped with advanced weapons systems capable of engaging various types of targets. INS Mormugao is also capable of engaging sea-skimming supersonic targets. Engaging a sea-skimming supersonic target requires advanced anti-air warfare capabilities. INS Mormugao successfully carried out the engagement demonstrating the ship's effectiveness. This marks another symbol of 'Aatmanibharta' and the Indian Navy's firepower at sea. Mormugao is 'state of the art weapons and sensors such as Surface to Surface Missile and Surface Air Missiles.
