Peter Munya has today taken over the Agriculture and Co-operation Ministry after the sacking of embattled C.S Mwangi Kiunjuri.
In the announcement made earlier on today, President Uhuru Kenyatta nominated Mutahi Kagwe to the health docket taking over from Sicily Kariuki who has been moved to the Water Ministry.
Industrialisation Permanent Secretary Betty Maina has been elevated to the cabinet to assume of the position Cabinet secretary Trade Industrialization and Enterprise, replacing Peter Munya who has now taken over the Agriculture docket.
Simon chelugui, has been moved from Water ministry to Labour which was previously held by Ukur Yatani. Yatani has been confirmed as Treasury Cabinet Secretary.
Also moved in the new changes is Rachel Omamo who assumes the Foreign affairs docket replacing Monica Juma who has been given the defence docket.
The President also nominated Ambassador John weru to Trade docket, current KICD CEO Dr. Jwan Julius Ouma to vocational and technical training, Mary Kimonye Public service, Amb. Nabukwesi Simon University Education, Solomon Kitungu transport and Enosh Momanyi Onyango physical planning.
PS Joe Okudo has also been transferred from Tourism ministry to Sports and Dr Chris Kiptoo from Trade to Environment and forestry.
