The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has released payroll and wages data from March to June, which shows a gradual recovery in the jobs market.
The data shows payroll jobs increased by one per cent between mid-May and mid-June, however in the same period wages fell by 6.3 per cent.
The easing of restrictions saw payroll jobs increase faster for people under the age of 20, with the accommodation and food sector recovering the quickest.
Overall the ABS data shows the jobs market is slowly recovering.
