In a bid to bring about change in Bengal, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) - CPIM, shunned the traditional approach of fielding seasoned politicians and chosen to give young blood a chance in the Lok Sabha Polls. Thirty-year-old Dipsita Dhar, a first-timer in parliamentary polls, embodies her party’s current thrust on highlighting young Turks in electoral politics. She has fought in 2021 West Bengal assembly elections from Bally constituency before.
