We booked a villa right down in the caldera for one night (out of 14 nights on Santorini) called Ifestio Vllas - it was a 2 bedroom 250yr old cave villa with a pool and beautiful views across the caldera. We stayed in their Hercules villa which is the oldest in the complex. They left me a card and cake as it was my birthday and also left wine and champagne in the fridge which was lovely. The villa was stunning with amazing views of the caldera and also the accommodations towering above us - a proper treat.
We had breakfast ready for us to help ourselves to in the villa but it was sparse and not the best breakfast unfortunately - loaf of bread, butter, pre opened ham, pre opened cheese, gone off milk, jam already added into a bowl. So on my way back from a early morning walk, I popped into a bakery for some pastries. It was a shame as the hosts and accomodation were absolutley amazing! I would definitely return though.
