This month marks 5 years I’ve been smoking this unfinished MM Missouri Pride cob pipe - it is said that the unfinished cobs burn out quickly - these models do not have the hardwood plug in the bottom of the bowl ... To Scott’s (Aristocob) point in his videos, if you char the inside of the bowl & form the carbon layer when you first get a cob & you don’t freight train the pipe, it will last a long time ... This cob has seen A LOT of bowls, and hands down it is one of my best smoking pipes in my collection ... To be fair, it hasn't seen constant use all 5 years; but I have smoked this cob quite a lot, esp to sample/evaluate new blends ...
