Join me on this trip from Oslo (Norway) to Los Angeles (CA, United States) via Munich (Germany) with Lufthansa in Economy Class. This is my first video involving a long-haul flight. The trip starts off with a morning flight down to MUC on Lufthansa's newest A320-200 (as of March 2018), with perfect weather conditions en route. If you only want to watch the MUC-LAX leg, you are free to skip to around 10:00. The flight from Munich to Los Angeles was special because it was the FIRST regular Lufthansa A380 flight from Munich, which previously were only based at Frankfurt. Although there was no water cannon salute, we did receive a couple of gifts for being on that flight (one while boarding and the other before descent), plus that it was announced on the gate monitor it was going to be the first A380 flight MUC-LAX. Being also my first flight on an A380, I was impressed by the aircraft's huge size and spacious cabin! We took off from RWY 08L and made a left turn, after which the purser introduced herself and we were served drinks and pretzels as well as lunch (choice of chicken or tortellini). We flew over the North Sea and the Norwegian Sea, and had some very nice views of Greenland as well as the Arctic Ocean and Northern Canada. During the flight I made sure to check out the IFE-system, and while I didn't really use it that much (other than the moving map), I found the selection to be fairly good. I did like the three different A380 cameras, I must say! Before starting our descent, we were served a second hot meal (chicken or pasta once again) and were offered a little A380-pin as a gift, and captain Müller made a brief announcement about the flight progress, weather at our destination and such. During our approach we were treated to some views of the coast and the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles, before performing a right turn and landing on RWY 24R. We arrived at the Tom Bradley International Terminal, and after going through customs and baggage claim, we were finally able to enter the US. Without further ado, I hope you will enjoy the video, and welcome onboard the first regular Lufthansa A380 flight from Munich!
