"It is just like any other watermelon, there is no difference. There might be a slight difference in flavour, but in general it is like any other watermelon. The combination is playing with the senses - the eyes grasp the watermelon and transfer the sense to the brain. You feel like you are eating a watermelon that tastes like a pineapple."

STORYLINE:
A fruit farmer in Israel is playing with people's senses.
Uri Rabinovitch, a farmer from Tzofit in central Israel, has been developing new varieties of watermelon in an array of colours.
His farm now boasts melons with yellow and orange inside, as well as the classic red-fleshed fruit.
Rabinovitch insists the flavour remains the same, or just a little sweeter.
"There might be a slight difference in flavour, but in general it is like any other watermelon," he says.
"The combination is playing with the senses - the eyes grasp the watermelon and transfer the sense to the brain. You feel like you are eating a watermelon that tastes like a pineapple."
The different colours are produced through a simple process of plant breeding.
Seeds from less-tasty wild watermelons are crossbred with cultivated watermelons to produce the new colourful varieties, whilst retaining their flavour.
The new variety of watermelon will arrive at Israel's markets in the next few days.
Supermarkets have also expressed an interest in stocking the fruit.
Not satisfied with the development of orange and yellow fleshed watermelons, Rabinovitch plans to experiment further and produce all kinds of other colourful fruit.
