Transylvania este una dintre cele mai frumoase regiuni ale Romaniei. Numele provine de la muntii Transilvaniei, o parte a Carpatilor Orientali. Aceasta zona este cunoscuta pentru frumusetea sa naturala, dar si pentru istoria sa bogata. In Transilvania se afla unele dintre cele mai vechi orase ale Romaniei, cum ar fi Sibiu si Brasov. Peisajele sunt superbe, iar oamenii sunt prietenosi.

Transylvania is one of the most beautiful regions of Romania. The name comes from the Transylvanian mountains, part of the Eastern Carpathians. This area is known for its natural beauty, but also for its rich history. In Transylvania there are some of the oldest cities in Romania, such as Sibiu and Brasov. The landscapes are beautiful, and the people are friendly.

Incepand din nord-vest, Transilvania se intinde catre est, spre Muntii Apuseni. Aceasta zona este formata in principal din campii si podisuri usor ondulate. In est, Transilvania este inconjurata de Muntii Carpati, o zona muntoasa ce include si cele mai inalte varfuri ale tarii. In sud, Transilvania este legata de Tara Romaneasca prin Pasul Fagaras, una dintre cele mai importante cai de acces spre Europa Centrala.

Starting in the northwest, Transylvania stretches east towards the Apuseni Mountains. This area is mostly made up of gentle hills and plains. In the east, Transylvania is bordered by the Carpathian Mountains, a mountainous area that includes the highest peaks in the country. In the south, Transylvania is connected to Wallachia by the Fagaras Pass, one of the most important routes to Central Europe.
